WE BUY YOUR KIDS
Webuyyourkids (WBYK) is Sonny Day and Biddy Maroney from Sydney, Australia. They are both exhibiting artists and commercial illustrators, operating as a small design studio, combining hand-made and digital techniques to create their work.
WBYK is a conversation between two individuals, played out in colour, shape and texture, drawing from their shared influences of comic books, skateboarding, music and film. Their gallery work is often based on witchcraft, mishaps, misdemeanours, black cats and voodoo, and they have exhibited all over the world.
As individuals their commercial illustration experience goes back over fifteen years, but they only began working together in 2006, creating screen-printed posters for local Popfrenzy tours. Today much of their work is still for the music industry, as well as commercial clients across the globe including Rolling Stone, NY Times, Pitchfork, Sydney Opera House, Adidas, Qantas, MTV and many more.
